HCC Latino Entrepreneurs Academy

The HCC Latino Entrepreneurs Academy will prepare individuals who have a current business or are trying to start a new business to get a strong start. Seminars will be facilitated by successful local business people from the corporate and entrepreneurial worlds. Areas for instruction will include but not be limited to business plans, taxes and book keeping, marketing and networking and becoming an MBE.

HCC Latina Mentoring Network

The HCC Latina Mentoring Network will prepare young women to succeed in the corporate world. The 2010 program will offer seminars presented by successful local business women and mentoring by trained mentors. There will also be planned networking opportunities and job shadowing.  Areas of instruction will include but not be limited to interviewing and resume preparation, communication, style for success, social networking and social media and allow the participants to choose either a corporate or entrepreneurial course for completion of the program. Monthly Networking Events

Held the third Thursday of each month these are excellent opportunities for any business, Hispanic or non-Hispanic owned to meet other business owners, potential clients and to get their goods and services into new markets. Sponsors are featured in all marketing leading up to the event and will have an opportunity to address the attendees the night of the event. The sponsors are also invited to have a staffed table with information about their products or company.
Corporate sponsors are responsible for marketing and logistics fee, a door prize not to exceed $100 in value, as well as the cost of catering and any fees associated with location if the event is held outside of the sponsor’s building.

HCC Lunch and Learn Series

This lunchtime series of seminars presents small business owners with information and contacts to build their business. These are 1.5 hours in length and cover a variety of topics presented by the Central Ohio Latino Small Business Development Center, SCORE and leaders in business and finance from the central Ohio area.
Sponsors are featured in all marketing leading up to the event and will have an opportunity to address the attendees the day of the event. The sponsors are also invited to have a table with information about their products or company. Please no recruiting during lunch and learn sessions although you may have information about open positions.
Companies can sponsor one session, multiple sessions or the entire series. Sponsors are responsible for marketing and logistics fee as well as the cost of catering and any fees associated with location if the event is held outside of the sponsor’s building.
HCC Business Seminars
Throughout the year the HCC will offer seminars on a number of business topics. These topics will be of interest and benefit for both small businesses and corporate members and will include areas of need and interest to Hispanic and non-Hispanic businesses as well.
These seminars are offered on a variety of dates and at different times according to the topic and the target audience.
